The Sanitation & Environment Week, Water & Tree Planting is a week-long annual event that is organized by Ministry of Water and Environment (MWE) to seek contribution towards attainment of sanitation, water protection, environmental protection for sustainable socio-economic transformation and achieving Ugandan National Development Plan III and vision 2040; Through ensuring availability of adequate and reliable quality fresh water resources for all uses, reducing human and economic loss from natural hazards and disasters, increasing incomes and employment through sustainable use and value addition to water, environment and other natural resources.
